Mentorship Program

We are launching a Mentorship Program. The objectives of the program are as follow:

  • To help fresh graduates to explore different career opportunities, build their careers, and build connections
  • To build relationships among Texas Exes in Hong Kong
  • To build the membership of HKTX

To make it a successful program, we need the support of our current members. If you are interested in helping an alumnus to build his/her career, please contact us.

Eligibility

Mentors

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience with minimum 2 years of experience gained in Hong Kong
  • Member of HKTX
  • Normally resides in Hong Kong
  • Willing to meet each mentee at least once a quarter for 4 consecutive quarters

Mentees

  • Graduated from UT for less than 2 years
  • Member of HKTX
  • Normally resides in Hong Kong
  • Wants to build his/her career in Hong Kong
  • Willing to meet mentor at least once a quarter for 4 consecutive quarters

If you are otherwise eligible but are not a member yet, you may join us now.

Please fill in the following application form if you want to be either a mentor or mentee. Please send the completed application form to hongkong@alumni.utexas.net. All information collected from the application form will be used for the purpose of the program only. Information collected from mentor applicants will not be shared with mentees without mentor applicants' consent. Information and resumes collected from mentee applicants will be forwarded to the matched mentors.

HKTX may need to interview mentor applicants and mentee applicants before matching them up. Both mentors and mentees will need to fill in an evaluation form after 1 year of mentor-mentee relationship.
